As a mama of four, it was important for me to find the best banana bread out there. Not only did I find it but tweaked it slightly to make it even better. This recipe has never failed to impress, plus it can be frozen and thawed for later. You can also make it into muffins. You will be surprised how moist and flavorful this banana bread is that I doubt it will stay around very long.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter, softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 4 Ripe bananas, crushed
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 tsp. Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F
Mix everything together and pour into a greased and floured loaf pan. I really like my silicone pan because I’m able to get it out in perfect shape easily.

Bake for one hour. Check for doneness by piercing the top center of the loaf with a toothpick; if it comes out clean, you’re finished! Let your Banana Bread sit in its pan on a wire rack for 5-10 minutes before cutting into it.

This will keep longer in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If you plan to freeze, wrap cling wrap around the loaf and place in a ziplock bag or continue to wrap in tin foil and freeze up to 6 months.

October 24, 2019 at 8:24 pmGreat banana bread! We added some mini chocolate chips and chopped walnuts, because that’s how we roll, but the bread itself is yummy and has a good texture, even the crust! Will definitely make again.
