Fiesta Spice Mix

This Spicy Onion Seasoning came about the same way Nathan decided to make bread that one weekend.

We had been using on-line or store bought spice mixes for our Venison Burritos for the longest time. Mainly because it was easier to do so. But then one day there we were, with the mortar and pestle out as well half of our favorite spices on the counter and went on an adventure to come up with our OWN blend of special seasonings upon which to top our venison. Game meat is where this stuff really shines, but turns out it goes great on roasted chicken too. And Hamburgers. Turkey burgers too. Mix it into some sour cream and you’ve got an instant vegetable or chip dip.

The best part about all of this, is you’ve probably already got 90% of this stuff already in your spice cabinet. The dried toasted onion is the key to the whole thing, so don’t skimp out.

We’ve decided to break it down into 2 options: the first as a single cooking serving option that equals 3 Tbsp and a bulk option for you to keep some on hand in your spice cabinet that comes out to about 2/3 cup. Make sure to Keep it in an air tight container like all of your other spices.
