Spicy Chex Mix is a delightful twist on everyones favorite party snack. Whip up this savory flavor bursting appetizer in no time.
I don’t know anyone who didn’t grow up getting to chow down on some delightful savory Chex Mix whether you mom made it or you bought it in the store. Needless to say I sure did and I still get cravings for it especially when fall hits.
After we had invented our Spicy Onion Seasoning my mom had suggested we try adapting our family favorite Chex recipe to give it a little kick….. it was such a great idea and so happy she came up with it. Now when I say spicy its a very nice slow build up so you can enjoy more than one bite of this Chex mix, but if you need that my mouth is burning right away double that Spicy Onion Mix. I hope you enjoy our Spicy Chex Mix as much as we do.
Ingredients:
- 8 Tbsp Butter
- 3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal
- 1 cup Cheese Crackers
- 1 cup Pretzels
- 1 cup Cherrios
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Spicy Onion Seasoning (this is for a slow steady spicy kick) (for EXTRA spicy kick right away -double this)

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 250ºF.
Start by placing all the cereal, pretzels and crackers into a large bowl and set aside.

Melt butter in a small sauce pan over medium heat until melted. Add in the Worcestershire Sauce and Spicy Onion Mix. Stir until combined well. Pour over the cereal mix and stir until completely covered.

Next spread out the mix onto baking sheets (I like to use silpats for easy clean up) and bake at 250ºF for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. Allow to cool completely and store in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks.
