1000% More Patriotic Than Regular Chocolate Strawberries

What better way to celebrate any Patriotic holiday than with a bright and beautiful chocolate dipped strawberry? Well, Red White and Blue Dipped Strawberries to be exact (*cue screaming eagle sound effect).

With the bold red of the strawberry it makes it perfect for a quick dip into some almond bark or white chocolate followed by a second layer of dyed blue chocolate and topped with sprinkles or sanding sugar like I used.

And just like that: little delicious bites of edible patriotism.

Assemble your Patriotic Ingredients:

Instructions:

  • Start by washing and drying your strawberries.
  • In a small bowl melt your Almond Bark or White Chocolate. Dip one strawberry at a time 2/3 the way up the berry and set on parchment paper to harden.
  • In a separate small bowl, melt your Almond Bark or White Chocolate and food coloring until you get the desired blue.
  • Dip the strawberry 1/3 the way up and place on parchment paper again, then immediately sprinkle with your Sanding Sugar or Patriotic Sprinkles and allow to harden.
  • Store in the fridge up to a couple of days, but they are the best the first day and should be made the day of serving or the night before.
