Here is another Quick and Easy Patriotic Dessert that disappears as soon as the kids find them.

Fruit Wands can be made all year long and do not have to consist of only Red White and Blue fruits, in fact, I’ve been making these for my kids in a variety of flavors and colors for their tea parties and then as they grew up “hang outs”.

The key to these is make sure you have the long cocktail toothpicks for the smaller ones and the short kabob skewers for bigger fruits. This recipe pairs perfectly with both our Cinnamon Yogurt Fruit Dip and Fluff Dip.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Fresh Blueberries
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Butter

Instructions:

  • Make the Star Strawberries by removing the top then slicing down the center so you have 2 slices of the strawberry. Then using the Star Cookie Cutter cut out stars from the strawberries.
  • Next take a stick of butter and insert the toothpick or skewer into the butter this allows the Mini Marshmallows to slide down easy without getting stuck.
  • Layer the fruit and marshmallows in the red, white and blue order and store in the fridge until ready to serve. These keep for a few days but are best served the day they are made or the night before.
