The Great Pumpkin Cookies recipe comes from my Mother in Law who made these for her 3 adorable boys every Halloween. When I joined the family I jumped in on the fall favorite activity. I found carrying on the tradition to be so important as I became a mother and watched her make them with my 4 beautiful girls. My girls love to take their time decorating each pumpkin but more importantly they love to devour these cookies. This recipe is especially cherished to us this year as we just lost our sweet Grandma Tandy, but we will carry on her loving memory every fall with her delicious recipe.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 cup Oats
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Butter, softened
- 1 Egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Pumpkin puree
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- Frosting and M&M candies for decorating

Directions:
Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg, pumpkin puree and vanilla until well combined. Next add in your dry ingredients except chocolate chips and decorating items. After mixed well fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop 1/4 cup batter onto a baking sheet (grease if not using a silpat ) forming a pumpkin shape. Make sure to add a little extra dough to form the stem.

Bake at 350º F for 15-18 minutes.

Cool completely and then decorate and make memories.
