The Best Banana Bread

You will be so surprised how moist and flavorful this banana bread is that I doubt your kids will leave any for you. Bonus: you can freeze it!


  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 4 ripe bananas (crushed)
  • 1½ cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Mix everything together and pour into a greased and floured loaf pan. I really like my silicone pan because I’m able to get it out in perfect shape easily.
  3. Bake for one hour. Check for doneness by piercing the top center of the loaf with a toothpick; if it comes out clean, you’re finished! Let your Banana Bread sit in its pan on a wire rack for 5-10 minutes before cutting into it.
  4. Keeps longer in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If you plan to freeze, wrap cling wrap around the loaf and place in a ziplock bag or continue to wrap in tin foil and freeze up to 6 months.
